HDFI TALKS ABOUT INNOVATION: scalability and latency

A new event in the HDFI webinar calendar, this time on the topics of scalability and latency in the OTT environment.
The central theme, which will also be driving the Association’s 15th-anniversary annual conference in the fall, delved into the role and architecture of CDNs with related economics on this occasion.
In addition, also an in-depth look at the mobile side, innovative use of multicast for OTT, and low-latency solutions.
After the introduction and greetings by the President of HD Forum Italia, Benito Manlio Mari, moderator Giovanni Venuti introduced some distinguished guests from the industry, such as Luca Moglia from Akamai, on the topic of CDN Edge Strategy, Mariano Aliano from Mediaset who deepened the topic with a speech entitled “CDN from the Bcasters’ perspective.” To close the seminar Diego Gibellino of TIM on “Multicast for OTT,” Vittoria Mignone (Rai) on the “mobile” side that the story of “scalability,” and Stefano Bossi (Mediaset) on the topic of latency.
